POSITION SUMMARY
As a key member of the senior team and a strategic partner, the Vice-President, Finance, will play a crucial role in defining and executing the company’s business strategy. They will collaborate with management, providing financial expertise and insights to drive sustainable and profitable growth. Their responsibilities encompass all strategic, financial and accounting aspects of the company.
As a member of the Management Committee, the incumbent will influence all decisions relating to the company’s financial health and its ongoing development. The individual will ensure the standardization and optimization of financial practices, implementing the necessary mechanisms to maximize the company’s financial performance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Management:
- Financial planning and analysis;
- Cash flow management;
- Financial reporting;
- Oversight of billing processes;
- Management of banking relationships;
- Financing and fundraising initiatives;
- Capital structure optimization;
- Tax planning and optimization.
Accounting:
- Supervision of financial statement preparation;
- Management of bookkeeping;
- Coordination of external audits.
Strategic Planning and Performance Monitoring:
- Development and maintenance of the annual strategic plan;
- Implementation and monitoring of financial and operational performance indicators;
- Contribution to the management and improvement of the company’s operations in a context of growth and expansion;
- Occupy a key role within the Management Committee.
QUALIFICATIONS
- CPA accounting designation and/or CFA;
- MBA (considered an asset);
- More than fifteen (15) years of experience in financial management;
- Experience in a high-growth environment (considered an asset);
- Experience developing and implementing financial and operational strategies in a growth context;
- Excellent knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting methods;
- Advanced experience in financial modeling;
- Successful experience in financing and fundraising;
- Knowledge of corporate taxation;
- Proficiency in computer systems;
- Bilingualism (French and English).
