Meet the team

Sam Younes is the Founder of Altium Wealth Architecture. In addition to his role as President & CEO, Sam acts as Altium’s Chief Compliance Officer and leads the firm’s Investment Committee.

With two decades of industry experience, Sam has developed his in-depth expertise by working in wealth management at local and global financial institutions with a coverage of all asset classes and a focus on ultra-high net worth clients.

Sam began his career in personal banking at the National Bank of Canada before becoming Associate Portfolio Manager at Dorchester Wealth Management. He later joined UBS Bank (Canada) where he held the role of Executive Director & Head of the Ultra-High Net Worth group for Eastern Canada. During this period, he successfully helped many of his clients navigate the 2007-2008 crisis.

Driven by the desire to elevate the wealth management industry and better serve his clients, Sam founded Altium in 2013 alongside Raymond Chabot Grand Thornton, before acquiring the firm under a management buyout in 2015.

Sam is a committed leader, focused on building meaningful relationships with our clients, implementing the firm’s vision, and streamlining its performance. Sam believes in the importance of strong foundations, and thus, is dedicated to fostering a culture based on excellence, rigour, and an unwavering commitment to our clients.

Sam holds an MBA specialized in Investment Management from the John Molson School of Business (Concordia University), the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, as well as a Master’s in Industrial Management (MA) from St-Joseph’s University. In January of 2019, Sam joined the Board of Directors of The Foundation of Stars, a cause dedicated to pediatric research.
